RWANDA GORILLA PERMITS PRICE INCREASE- MAY 6th, 2017.
Effective May 6th, 2017, RWANDA gorilla permit fees have been increased to US$1500. The new Rwanda gorilla permit price of US$1500 applies across the board to foreign nationals. Discounted prices are usually available for Rwandan residents, nationals, East Africans and foreign nationals resident in any African country. Please ask us about discounted gorilla permit prices at the time of booking.
However the price for a gorilla permit in Uganda is US$700 all year round. The price of a gorilla permit for trekking the mountain gorillas in Virunga National Park DRC also remains at US$400 per gorilla permit.
- Gorilla Permits sell out in advance so permits purchase are required in advance and are non refundable
- Gorilla permits fees include ranger guides and park entry fees
- You require 4x4 car transportation to get from park headquarters to the base of the mountains where trekking starts
- To trek the gorillas one should be of a good level of fitness.
- The gorilla live in mountain rain-tropical rainforests with high altitude volcano peaks
- Gorilla trekking can be arduous and physically demanding given the high humidity in the mountains
- Gorilla treks can last anything from from 1 to 8 hours The average gorilla tracking time is however 2hrs
- The ranger guides will discuss your level of fitness and preferred gorilla group at the pre-gorilla trekking briefing at park headquarters.
- Take a lot of gorilla photos and have fun visiting with the gorillas.
