We have just been advised by Uganda Wildlife Authority that the 'low season' Gorilla Permit prices will be discontinued and all permits across the year will be USD700 per permit
This US$700 price for a Uganda gorilla permit will apply to April/May & November Uganda gorilla permits bookings. The gorilla permit prices however are still way cheaper than the Rwanda gorilla permit price of US$1,500 EACH. Apart from the saving on the permit, we also have low season safari and accommodation rates available in Bwindi.

During the low season months of April, May and November Uganda Wildlife Authority no longer lowers the price of Uganda gorilla permits by USD$150 . The cost of Uganda gorilla permits in April, May and November will thus be US$700 after the gorilla permit prices rise to US$700 effective January 1st, 2016.
Grab yourself a cheap gorilla permit and see the gorillas in Uganda on the cheap, much cheaper than you would otherwise see them in Rwanda, where the cost of a gorilla permit is still US$1500. There is now even a much bigger cost incentive for visitors to trek gorillas in Bwindi in Uganda. You may still fly into Kigali and cross over the border into Bwindi for your gorilla trek. The launch of the single East African tourist visa since January 1st, 2014, means that the cost of visiting the gorillas is even much lower. You get better value for your safari holiday budget.
If you wish to trek the gorillas in both Rwanda and Uganda, the price during April. May and November will now be US$2,200 saving you money on your gorilla safari budget. For double trekkers, we are offering a further US$50 reduction on your trip by waiving our gorilla permits admin fees for the 2nd permit. if you book 4x4 car hire either self drive or with driver from us, we shall give you a further discount on our normal car rental prices. If you wish to trek the gorillas twice in Uganda during the low season, the cost of the 2 gorilla permits will now be US$1,400, and if you book a gorilla safari package with us that is over 4 days, we reduce your gorilla safari by a further US$100 per person, giving you in absolute terms. It has never been much cheaper to trek the gentle giants in Bwindi.
