Rwanda gorilla permits are sold on a first come first secured basis usually with full payment of US$1500 in advance. If however your gorilla trekking date is more than 2 months of away from the date that you enquire with us, we are able to pay a deposit to secure your gorilla permit, but final payment for the permit would be required at least 30 days to the gorilla trekking date. Gorilla permits can in rare cases be transferred to another gorilla trekking date. Please note that the permit transfer can only be made if the gorilla trekking date is more than 30 days away and you incur a gorilla permit transfer fee of US$250.
If the gorilla trekking date is less than 30 days away, RDB are unable to refund for your gorilla permit. Wherever we can and depending on availability of clients who wish to trek on the day for which your purchased a permit, we shall try to sell the gorilla permit on to another client. This is not always guaranteed but we always try. When we are able to sell on your gorilla permit, we shall refund you the cost of the gorilla permit less any incurred admin fees.

RWANDA GORILLA PERMITS PRICE INCREASE- MAY 6th, 2017.
Effective May 6th, 2017, RWANDA gorilla permit fees have been increased to US$1500. The new Rwanda gorilla permit price of US$1500 applies across the board to foreign nationals, East African residents, East African citizens and Rwandans alike. The old reduced gorilla permit prices have ceased.
However the price for a gorilla permit in Uganda remain the same at US$700 . The price of a gorilla permit for trekking the mountain gorillas in Virunga National Park DRC also remains at US$450 per gorilla permit.
