Our service offering is based on social responsibility travel ethos. We put the "eco" in all our tourism travel products and the services that we offer for travellers to Rwanda and Uganda. When we run all inclusive private tailored Rwanda tours we adhere to all the ecotours principles, including working with service providers that respect the environment, employers that we believe empower local people in the places surrounding the Volcanoes National Park Rwanda, and Bwindi Impenetrable forest in Uganda. Most of the scheduled tours involve visits to Iby'iwacu cultural village and Buhoma community projects because of their eco and conservation records. The projects that we provide and take our clients to visit are ones that;
- Have very minimal impact on degradation of the environment
- Enhance environmental conservation principles
- Promote cultural awareness to the clients who visit those places
- Generate financial rewards to the local communities and provide social-economic development
- Empower local people to live in harmony with the gorillas.
- Adhere to acceptable working practices and pay decent wages to the local people that they employ.
In this regard we promise to promote responsible travel to Rwanda and Uganda that promotes conservation of the gorillas, birds, game, wildlife and the natural habitat. We also pledge to adhere to socially responsible principles of doing business while preserving the environment. To this end;
Our operations will be targeted to reinforce the traveller's environmental awareness by;
Donating to local schools and to deserving local community projects;
Continuing our support for local orphanages;
Employing local people and paying them well above market rates
Using locally owned and operated lodges
Using local goods and services.
Partnering only will socially responsible service providers.
Do business in a way that seeks to promote social responsibility, reduce our carbon footprint and enhance social-economic development of the local people that we work with.
We take these ethos rather very seriously as they form the core basis of what we do. We will not compromise in the pursuit of our responsible travel targets and goals. We can assure you that when you purchase one of our products, when you buy a gorilla permit through us, when you hire a 4x4 vehicle through us, when you book your Rwanda/Uganda accommodation through us or when you join one of our scheduled private tours, you will be contributing to our conservation efforts and to the economic transformation of the communities that you will be travelling to.
