Rwanda's Gorilla and Lakes 8 day Tour

Rwanda's Gorilla and Lakes Tour

8 days from US$2,600 per person, inclusibve of 1 Rwanda gorilla permit worth US$1,500

For most visitors to PNV in Rwanda one of the very main reasons they travel to Rwanda is to  trek the famous mountain gorillas. There is however so much more to see in Volcanoes National Park, including tracking the golden monkeys, having an excursion of the Musanze caves, hiking the Bisoke or Karismbi volcano, visiting the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo etc.

While gorilla trekking is an awesome once in a lifetime experience, there is plenty more one can do when on a tour vacation of Rwanda. We suggest that you combine a Rwanda gorilla vacation, gorilla trekking tour package with a beach holiday on the beaches of Lake Kivu in either Gisenyi and/or on the shores of Lake Kivu in Kibuye, from where you can continue to Nyungwe for chimp tracking, colobus monkey trekking, canopy walks, forest walks etc. Your vacation would then proceed through Butare for a cultural experience of Rwanda and finally to Kigali where you  do a Kigali city tour and visit the genocide museum memorial at Gisozi.

What is a gorilla permit?

What exactly is a gorilla permit and why do you need one?

A gorilla permit is a ticket that admits one into either Bwindi National Park in Uganda, Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda or Virunga National Park in DRC to visit with the gorillas. These gorilla permits are a hot item especially during the peak travel months of June, July, August, September, December and January. We therefore recommend that you contact us early enough with your gorilla trip requirements so that we purchase your gorilla permits for you well in advance before they sell out.  Upon purchase of your gorilla permit, we shall send you copies of the same and you will receive the originals of your gorilla permits on arrival to Uganda, Rwanda and DRC.
