12 days Uganda, Rwanda & DR Congo
This gorilla tour that covers Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Pearl of Africa Uganda is the ultimate safari tour for the intrepid traveler wishing to go on safari to East Africa. Arrive at Kigali airport and track the chimps in Nyungwe Forest Rwanda. After the Nyungwe Chimpanzee trek, subject to the security situation in DRC Congo, we proceed across the Rwanda DRC Congo border town of Bukavu South Kivu and onward to Kahuzi Biega National park to track the lesser known Eastern Lowland Gorillas.
This adventure gorilla tour then takes from Bukavu to Goma by boat to Virunga National Park for the adrenalin pumping hike of Nyiragongo volcano. The following day we cross back into Rwanda via Gisenyi and onward to Volcanoes National Park. The following morning we trek the golden monkeys and later cross the border into Uganda via the Cyanika border crossing and to Bwindi. The safari adventure continues with a trek of the Bwindi mountain gorillas.
At the end of it all we drive through the Switzerland of Africa-South West Uganda on our way back to Kigali for your departure back home after a thrilling few days trekking the lowland and mountain gorillas, the Nyiragongo volcano hike, the golden monkeys of Volcanoes National Park and so much more. Day 1: Arrival at Kigali airport, transfer to Golf Hills Residence for overnight.
